My name is Marina and I am in second grade. I enjoy music, and exercising. One of the things I like most about school is my P.E.class because I love to jump rope. I never give up. I also like to read chapter books and play Legos. At home, I like to bake with my mom. We both bake cakes, and maybe someday I hope to own my bakery. My name is Celeste and I am in second grade. My favorite subject at school is science because I we can do experiments. This year, we learned about rain and clouds. Our group filled a glass jar with water, added shaving cream (clouds) and the put blue food coloring drops (rain)in it. It was fun. I also like to read. One of my favorite books to read is The Diary of a the Wimpy Kid because it is soooo funny. I am also happy that we are going to UNT this year.

Hello Devany! My name is Lizbeth Acosta and I am your pen pal! My degree is in Art. I am currently not taking any courses this semester because I have graduated but I plan on returning to graduate school this year to pursue a Master's in Fine Arts. My courses usually include history classes where I learn about many different artists, their famous masterpieces and what makes them unique. I also would take art courses where I will be painting or drawing or using other art techniques such as printmaking, sculpture, computer based art, or photography to aid in my own growth as an artist. I hope to one day become an advocate for the arts at the national level. This means that I would continue to make sure that the arts (like music, dance, and theatre too) are an integral part of your curriculum or are offered at other local organizations afterschool. Art was very important for me growing up and I hope that they are to you too. Are you excited about going to college? What would you like to be when you grow up?

DeleteHi Devany! I'm sorry it took so long for me to reply! I will definitely see you at the university and tell you all about college. Books can be expensive if you buy them but there is another way to obtain your books and it's like a borrowing method. You pay for only the time you will be using them and give it right back so that another student can save money and borrow it after you.
DeleteI think that you wanting to become a vet is a wonderful idea! Will you help me make sure that my dog is well taken care of? I like many things because I love to learn so if you ask me a question, I may know the answer or know where to look and read to find out. Remember reading is very important and your brain will thank you for it!
In college you do have Spring Break! You have time to have fun after working very hard. You might have homework during the break but if you plan everything just right, you can do it before you go on break and it will give you a chance to enjoy it and spend time with your family. Maybe someday when you are in college I can enjoy a visit to ihop with you during your break. I wish you the best always.

Hello Natalie! My name is Evelyn Moncivais and I am a senior, Business Administration major at Texas Woman's University. I will be graduating this May with my Bachelor's Degree. The courses I am taking this semester are Business Policy, Training & Development, Consumer Behavior, Internet Marketing, and Financial Planning. All of these courses teach me about the rules, regulations, and techniques used in the business world. Other than being a member of Sigma Lambda Alpha, I am a student assistant at the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Outreach. Hi Jacob! my name is Melisa Escobedo, and I am a junior/senior studying Biology at Texas Woman's University. My overall goal is to become a Pediatric Dentist. I want to work with low-income communities and educate about the importance of our oral health. The classes I am taking this semester are Bacteriology and General Chemistry. These classes will teach me how to use a microscope to learn about the many different bacteria or viruses that make us healthy or sick. Aside from being involved with my sorority Sigma Lambda Alpha, I am also a member of the KEM Club. In Kem Club, we go to elementary schools to teach students about Chemistry through science magic tricks! I also work at an after-school program with the Boys & Girls Club. I help 3rd-5th grade students with their homework, plan activities for them, and teach them skills that they will use out in the real world. In my spare time I enjoy watching Netflix and spending time with my family and friends.

I live in Fort Worth now and I’m involved with LULAC 4568 and we like to help out our community to get involved with voting and giving back to others that need it.
