Special thanks go out to all of our college pen pals/mentors (UNT Lambda Theta Phi Fraternity, TWU Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, UNT Active Minds, UNT LULAC, and UNT Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) for joining us last Friday on our annual Discover College Life Project Dream Big Campus Tour of the University of North Texas. Our parents and students from Dolores Huerta Elementary learned a lot about the many opportunities and resources colleges offer and were so excited about their trip on the way back on the school bus to Fort Worth. TWU Abigail Gress, representing the ladies of Sigma Lambda Alpha Sorority, served as one of many college tour guides, here with her pen pal Vanessa Rico on the steps of the Student Union building.
